A lot of useful information continues to flow into PH, but it's just getting too time consuming to find the little nuggets of the good stuff in the increasing volume of questions/answers/comments. A nice feature that could be added to PH would be to allow users to filter out questions/answers/comments that fall below criteria specified by the user.

Slashdot.org uses this methodology for comment filtering, and while the site isn't what it used to be in its heyday, the comment filtering feature (if set high enough) makes Slashdot still pretty useful.

(Maybe this capability already exists PH and I haven't seen it?)

I think the closest you can get is to sort answers on votes.

Paleohacks will remember your preference.

Stackexchange != slash

Stackexchange != slash was sort of the point to my question. Maybe a better question is: Why isn't PH built on Slash? – smcdow Dec 16 2011 at 18:37

I was just thinking about this yesterday: it would be nice to have different ratings for funny versus informative answers. I feel a lot of times the most amusing answer has the most votes, and the most informative answer isn't voted up as much.
