Does anyone have any articles that can explain what is happening during a fast in relation to muscle loss and/or/versus fat loss?
There are a number of posts in regards to preventing muscle loss during fasting, but I would like to understand what is actually happening in the body.
For one I would like to know whether it is really true that we burn muscle faster than we do fat, or burn muscle first before fat reserves. These sorts of comments float around all over the place yet without any qualification provided.
