Once a week I eat nuts--almonds. I eat enough to satisfy my salty craving ---of course it turns into too much. But I only do it once a week. How about you guys?

Macadamia nuts. If there's a bag in the house that's all she wrote.

Cheese. Just plain trouble. Especially if there are macadamia nuts in the house (Love them together)

Bacon. I can eat a whole package all by myself in a day. O.k. fine. Half a day. Or an hour. Something like that.

Adding Lucques olives from Trader Joes. I'm pretty sure a whole jar is not a single serving. (Like eating buttah!)

I thought bacon was intentionally packaged in single serving sizes. – raney Dec 27 2011 at 19:48

Oh, me too. Macadamia Madness. I never feel bad afterwards, either. Lots of O6, yeah, but yum yum. – Dorado Galore Dec 30 2011 at 21:18

Pitted dates! Even better if they're wrapped in bacon and stuffed with a bit of goat cheese :)

Geez, way to evoke emotions in me that I previously reserved for religious experiences... dates? Bacon? Goat cheese? You just paid me back for the lamb pesto recipe... – Joshua Feb 4 2012 at 4:05

Those are so phenomenal, aren't they? Little salty sweet joy bombs. Great food with wine. – syrahna Feb 4 2012 at 4:47

I have a slightly embarrassing addiction to roast pumpkin. As in I will eat an entire pumpkin's worth roasted in balsamic vinegar, coconut oil and thyme in one sitting... on my own... and still want more. I am the butt of family jokes over it, and after a particular unrestrained stint a few months back even developed a obvious yellow colouring. Now I have to practice moderation, it's easier than having to repeatedly reassure folk I don't have jaundice :P.

if you eat enough of them, maybe you could sign onto the next season of "jersey shore"! ;) – suzanne Feb 4 2012 at 18:58

Dark chocolate with some semi-frozen coconut whipped cream. Add some frozen blueberries, and I can't help myself!

Wow, I guess there are plenty. Foi gras, macademia (I got some for Christmas), dried figs (got those in my stocking too), but if I had my choice, I'd have fegato grasso (pan seared fresh goose liver) at once a week. And oh, fresh whipped cream. My desert of choice when out. I just order a cup of it. No sugar, no nothing, the cream is plenty.

Almonds, whipped cream, and mangos- in no particular order.

my new favorite is coconut butter. it simply is dried coconut flakes and melted coconut oil whizzed in the blender until it turns to the yummiest paleo indulgence ever! it is so rich that one little spoon-full TOTALLY satisfies! :) mmmmmm...

My 2 favorites are bacon and fruit. I don't always have bacon, but when I do it's uncured.

There are meats I can't afford to eat all the time, such as duck and goose, that I really look forward to having occasionally.

Among the fruits, in prime season, my favorites are plums, grapefruit, pineapples and berries. If they aren't at their best I leave them in the store but I truly love a great piece/serving of fruit.

Any and all kinds of nuts but faves are almonds, hazelnuts and macs. During the holiday, I (over)indulged in them and others like pecans and walnuts as well. Raw or dry roasted. Freaking delicious.

Coconut Butter and Almond Butter. I usually have these with berries and/or a banana. Love it! If I am really feeling up to it, some dark chocolate. Good times :)

Coffee, nuts, kerrygold cheese, and coconut flavored sparkling water. I've just had two cans in an hour. My twelve pack will be gone in three days.

It's a brand-new La Croix flavor in a white, blue, and brown can on sale at WF. Aaaaand I'm totally not going to buy more than one at a time again. – maryeeclarkisouthunting Dec 27 2011 at 20:25

Coconut water with the pulp, especially during the summer and/or after intense exercise (the best brand is Taste Nirvana IMO, the name is accurate). I could drink many cans at once under those conditions. 60-90% cacao also is hard to avoid overindulging in.

Steamed and mashed Red Garnet Sweet Potato and a diced apple spiced with cinnamon, allspice, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. I'll often add a little maple syrup YumYum ;-)

Cronometer reports that bacon is my number 1 most eaten food, followed by eggs, tomatoes, and coffee. Considering that has been my breakfast every day for the past two years, it would have to be bacon.

On carbup days I allow myself some avocado-oil potato chips. It's almost physically painful to resist eating the whole bag.

I totally overdo the coconut milk sometimes. If I open a can, it takes the will of a saint for me to not eat spoonfuls of that crap like it was a pudding. Also, if I buy canned cod liver I have to stop myself from eating it all in a day... it's over 1000 calories for a can... it might even be closer to 3k. oy It has the texture of foie gras though.

85% dark chocolate and sweet yam chips roasted in coconut oil with a little honey and cinnamon on top. I can put away an entire sweet potato in no time.

Back when I was binging I thought up all kinds of concoctions. The most popular was coconut oil mixed in with cocoa power and something sweet like bananas. Thank goodness my sugar cravings are more or less non existent and I crave meat and vegetables more than anything else!

I also like sweet potato chips, drenched in beautiful, bright yellow butter...

to be honest, there is no truly paleo food that i overindulge in...the only thing that can get me in trouble are faux-paleo things...like when i make dark chocolate almond butter cups, or any almond flour baked good. i think at that point, the mental connections to the pre-paleo items that these could replace kicks in, and i can't stop myself. that's why i only ever make those items as a true treat, something special. on a day to day basis i don't have trouble with over-indulgence: i can eat a couple squares of 90% chocolate and be happy to stop...i never eat more than a couple strips of bacon...i don't generally have a need for an obscene amount of fruit. yay paleo! finally getting away from the extremes of overindulgence / restriction that used to rule my life!

Kale sauteed in bacon fat with bacon chopped up on top. I have eaten a pound of kale cooked this way in one sitting. Also hanger steak. I could eat three at a time which is waaaay too much but it is my favorite thing. Oh and TJs raw crunchy almond butter cannot be in my home.

I can overindulge on pretty much any nut/dried fruit combo, so I don't keep them in the house. It is now ghee, typically of the garlic/herb variety. And unsweetened cocoa, which I could eat all day. Oh, AND raw, fresh salted coconut.
