Grab the nearest non paleo cook book and turn to page 42. Post the recipe and then most how you can make it paleo. Discover anything worth making?

OK, I'll bite. I got out The Book of Tofu. Page 42 has mushroom miso saute. It is supposed to be made with miso, oil, mushrooms and honey. Here's a miso-less miso saute. 1 T coconut oil, 10 mushrooms, 1/2 cup real beef broth made from beef roast drippings, 1 teaspoon grated carrot. Slice the mushrooms and finely grate the carrot. Saute in the oil for 1 minute. Add the broth and cook down until it thickens. Add salt to taste.

Grabbed a book called "Cool Food". P42 is chargrilled baby octopus. Not much requirement for a change there...

I grabbed "Daily Italiean" by Toby Puttock. There are 2 recipes, the first is for mussel and clam soup and the other is homemade gravlax. The soup requires no changes and the gravlax calls for 1.5 tsp sugar. I'm not sure that the sugar is entirely necessary, so I'd either omit it or maybe use honey instead.
