How toxic is chamomile tea on the kidneys and liver due mainly to the coumarin it contains? How much tea would need to be consumed to be a problem. And is chamomile tea a potential problem for diabetics? Does anyone have any detailed knowledge of this and does anyone have any positive/negative experiences with chamomile tea with regards to diabetes?
Chamomile tea is said to be an anxiolytic which is why I am considering drinking it as I find it difficult to sleep these past months which is quite important to address in Palaeo or any other lifestyle for that matter. It also has many other potential beneficial effects.
Here is a link to chamomile and BG info.
According to several researches on chamomile tea, it has some negative effects on the kidney and liver. Also it increases the risk of bleeding, anaphylactic shock symptoms, allergic reactions such as difficulty in breathing, skin hives, unconsciousness, etc. I think, doctors would able to give you more information for it. Look for online consultation with professionals of [Justsavelives clinic] who would definitely guide you in right path.
