When I have the choice between salty and sweet (sugar), what makes more sense to choose.
(for example with popcorn (I know!!! popcorn isn't paleo!))

Salty. Just make sure it's a good salt, with enough minerals in it. Sugar doesn't offer anything of value, at least salt does a bit. |

Even when I was eating sugar all the time I consistently chose salty. Now sugar is a rare holiday treat and salty tastes even better! |

If I had to chose one or the other (health wise), I would chose salt because I have low blood pressure. HOWEVER, I have a habit of putting salt on my 88% chocolate, so I get both. |

I choose neither salt or sugar on the popcorn and just massive amounts of BUTTER. Is that one of the choices? |

If it's the case of popcorn, then it ALWAYS has to be salted...end, lol! (Although, I don't eat a lot of popcorn...) |

Why are they being juxtaposed like they're equivalent? Sugar is kinda bad for you. Salt is kinda good for you. So if you're given an either or option... eat salt. Though I agree with Annie, if the option is either, or, or both, totally go with both. Mmmm. (And don't sweat the popcorn, I love the stuff, and at the end of the day it's really not that much food) |

I choose both! Many sweet things require salt to enhance the flavor, otherwise the taste is flat. |

Salt. Always choose it over sugar. Now if you had said salt vs honey, that's a different story as both items would be paleo. As for popcorn, bleh. I'd pick crispy bacon over popcorn every time. |
