Hey there!

So I have noticed that I have a lot of "General Health Questions" that I want to ask here on this forum, rather than research elsewhere throughout the Innernettes...

Is that wrong? Is that okay? Should I just ask them, even if they're not related to the Lifestyle directly?

Its just that there are too many opinions out there from people who I doubt have any idea of the things they are talking about...

So... what say you?

also make sure to search first, since a lot of random health questions have been asked in the past. – Krisha C. Jan 7 2012 at 13:23

WebMD is to my mind the epitome of medical propaganda. Really, it's the first thing I think of when I think Internet Advice for Sheep. – Ambimorph Jan 7 2012 at 15:02
Hahaha! Well said. – Crystal Jan 7 2012 at 15:49

Ask away!

If we like your question, you'll get so much feedback your head will reel.

If we don't, we'll slice you to ribbons with our razor wit (just kidding!)

Seriously, we're fairly liberal about blurring the boundaries for info exchange. If your question really is too far outside our boundaries, we'll just say so. Otherwise, you should feel welcome to help enrich our thinking.

Ask away, but before you do, remember, not every health question is related to the Paleo lifestyle. For example, if you broke your leg in a skiing accident, that wouldn't be an appropriate question.

A good place to start is by first reading the FAQ.

Remember, there is a LOT of misinformation on the internet and in the public in general. You need to be capable of critical thinking and know the difference between causation and correlation.

For instance, there is an abundance of misleading info about HFCS, and fructose in general online. However, if you google 'the truth about sugar' and watch the video by a professor which explains fructose metabolism, you can form you OWN opinion.

And regarding correlation, there are plenty who believe eating carbs at night causes fat gain. But this is actually false, there is simply a correlation between people who eat carbs at night and weight gain. (The groups had poor diet and exercise habits)
