Soon I'm gonna have a room at the university again, and it got me thinking : I used to eat everything with my hands there, right out of the bag/pizza box. I might be healthier now, but I sure am as lazy as I used to be, so : does any of you eat out of edible plates? If so, what are they made of?
Produced by thermal compression moulding, it can hold water for up to 75 minutes and liquid oil for several hours. The starch mix consists of more than 90 per cent dry weight starch, plasticizers, emulsifier, calcium carbonate and agar. The process takes no more than 3 minutes at a temperature of 200-240° Centigrade (°C) and the product is completely biodegradable.
No, we do not use edible plates but we do eat many things in leafy wraps. We also make pizza with the crust being cauliflower, egg and sometimes cheese. We make coconut flour and egg bases for some things but not often. We do prepare and eat these things over plates that we wash or on rare occasion (paper plates) dispose of. Sometimes just over paper towels if we are really lazy.
