Just curious if anyone else uses any techie tools for tracking elimination diets and results. I used to use cronometer for it, but it wasn't easy to see results since it's main got tools for tracking weight and the only way to take symptoms is the diary. Another method I used was a google calender titled "health" where I put "events" for food eliminations I was doing + "events" for days I had problems. Other people told me they use google docs or excel spreadsheets.

For the past year though I've used an app called task:life for android. Every morning it asks me various questions I programmed in, like "Did you avoid dairy?" and "Did you have stomach problems?" You can export the data to make graphs. I guess the downside is that it's not easy to track how much of a particular food you ate in case you want to know specific tolerance levels.

I currently use cronometer plus google calendar, as well. I've toyed with the idea of putting something together myself, but have neither the time nor desire to do a good job of it. I'm looking forward to seeing if anyone's come up with a good solution. – Sara S. Jan 8 2012 at 4:42
If you use a mac... I can make an app for it. Will take some time, but I'll post an answer here as soon as it's made. I'll try to make it look neat, not like cron-o-meter, but I'm not a designer. – Korion Jan 10 2012 at 13:20

I made a spreadsheet in Open Office, with subjective and objective health markers in it, along with what I ate, how and how much I slept, exercise, supplements taken, and keywords (such as broccoli coke).

I wouldn't trust Google with such personal information; they already know I'm paleo by the searches I do, and where I'm flying to for vacation and what I ordered from Playboy.com from the receipts I get on Gmail :P

broccoli coke wins my vote for most disgusting non-paleo food ever. – Karen Jun 7 2012 at 12:48
Evernote works pretty well- same basic idea as Google, but your information is protected. – Sonya Aug 5 at 6:38
Your information is "protected" just as well with Google. – Wisper Aug 5 at 11:29
