I've recently found Pinterest and find the crowd sourced recipes with photos to be inspirational when I'm out of ideas for dinner. But the Paleo/gluten free contingent doesn't seem to be out in force, or at least I'm having trouble finding y'all...usernames? I'm under my same tag there. Alternatively, does anyone have recommendations for other visual recipe sites? I have surfed Chowstalker, but it doesn't seem to be user-driven, which is what really appealed to me about Pinterest.

For food stuff, I think you're better off with Chowstalker or Foodee. – jj Jan 12 2012 at 20:22

I'm there! I've got several different food boards. One I started over a year ago is entirely gluten free baking. I've got another I call "Real Food" that includes mostly paleo/primal with a few WAPF recipes. I've got a few others around, too.

My Paleo/Low Carb/Gluten Free board

All my boards

I'm sure like most everyone else's paleo pinterest boards that you are aware that the majority of the recipes are kind of "treats" rather than things to keep in normal rotation but I figured I'd say that just in case anyone was not sure of that. I rarely eat any of the stuff I post that use almond flours or coconut flours or sweeteners.

Feel free to follow away!

Followiiiiiiing! I'm the same! Most of my everyday cooking is too simple for a recipe to be needed. I don't pin a lot of the coco/almond stuff cause I just don't get much into the Paleo substitutes but but I do post some stuff with potatoes, which I know a lot of people consider a treat or a cheat. – Varelse Aug 4 at 19:23
It's kind of funny, I don't even eat dairy anymore but I still see the recipes with dairy in them and repin them because they look so damn good! – invisible ink Aug 4 at 21:23

Who knew there were so many questions about Pinterest? I didn't realize just how popular (and addicting) it was until last week and I'm hook. It's been a great resource for me (as well as a virtual memory bank) for me to keep track of delicious things without overloading my bookmarks. Anyway, you can find my profile at Kevin McCarthy (kevinmccarthy) on Pinterest (I have multiple Paleo boards). I try to pin & repin a lot of Paleo stuff whenever I come across it!

You can search for paleo or sugar free in the search bar and find some good stuff. Also, I'm addicted to foodgawker.com!

Everyone else probably knows about this, but I love looking at Nom Nom Paleo. She has some great recipes and the photos are amazingly mouth-watering. I'm going to check out Pinterest and see if I can figure it out. I'll look for you. I love cooking and sharing great recipes.

I'm there too. I too would love to find others there with similar interests in food. http://m.pinterest.com/gfrealfood/ Also, have you tried entering "paleo" in the search box? Tons of boards come up there. Try this. http://pinterest.com/search/boards/?q=paleo Now I am overwhelmed! In a good way.

Www.tastespotting.com is a pretty good source - "a visual potluck". People submit photos which link to their websites. Over the last year I've seen an increasing number of paleo/gluten free posts.

I'll check that out. Thanks! – JitzGrrl Jan 12 2012 at 19:11

I loved the photos but it made me want to run out and buy flour/sugar. I think I'd better stick with ChowStalker! – Nance Jan 12 2012 at 19:11

Great question- I'd love to find more paleos on there! I haven't pinned much yet, but I'm on there (Julia Kohli) and my friend Sara Taylor should be on my follow list; she's pinning paleo stuff, as well as Chowstalker.
