I just read Tim ferris's the 4 hour body an in a portion he talks about a protocol that boosted his testosterone so much that he notice women would get very touchy and attracted to him when he went near them due to his giving off pheromones. Upon reading this I thought it was complete nonsense. However these past two weeks I've made dietary changes and have noticed my tedosterone has increased (lean muscle growth, increased strength/recOvery, crazy libido)and I've noticed that women who barely glance at me from across the room all if a sudden stare at me when I get close, try to engage conversations with me and some are getting quite touchy feely with me when I don't know them very well at all. That being said are three any articles or studies that prove this or anecdotal evidence from others. I'd like some feedback please

What dietary changes have you made, if you do not mind me asking, since I assume you were already on Paleo? – VB Jan 13 2012 at 16:12
Is this even a serious post? No, just no. No dietary changes can increase your testosterone levels above normal range... that's why they're called the normal range. If hardcore bodybuilders with test levels of >10,000 ng/dl aren't irresistible to women, then a suspected change of 20-50 ng/dl in your test levels isn't going to be at all noticeable by anyone. – Ratiocinative Jan 13 2012 at 17:47
This is actually a common phenomenon amongst steroid users. Google steroid use and pheromones. I've found some forums of users claiming that when they are cycling, they get a lot more attention from women. So I think Ratiocinative's comments are incorrect. (Though this could all be placebo as some answers are saying.) – College Mar 11 2012 at 0:36

Don't wear deodorants and the effect becomes really prominent in my experience.

A dirty little secret I do too attract the laydeez: put my hands on my pubes and rub them around my clothes/face.

Of course if you have a paleo diet, regular exercise, good vitamin D level, don't wear deodrant and don't look at porn (for more see www.yourbrainonporn.com), then you're in a much better position than your average joe at attracting women.

that sure IS a dirty secret! Remind me not to hug you at the Ancestral health conference. haha! – Senneth Jan 13 2012 at 17:04
That is truly disgusting... – Cody Jan 14 2012 at 4:04
Honestly I'm not that grossed out by this- Luciiz sounds like a decent guy, and as long as one is clean on a, you know, DEEPER level, I wouldn't even be very grossed out if I knew that someone I met out at a bar had done this. And I'm kind of impressed that you admit this, Luciiz! – Celine Feb 18 2012 at 1:02

I have made a comment and it disappeared somewhere.

  1. So I have a question for you: what specific dietary changes have you made in the last two weeks to achieve those results? PLEASE ANSWER, I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW!!!

  2. Women are (biologically) attracted to men with clear skin, bright eyes and ... (bushy tails) naturally shiny hair. When you are healthier, it shows. You have more energy, you move and even speak differently. It has nothing to do with pheromones, but you show off your "healthy" look, and evolutionary women are conditioned to respond to it on a subconscious level.

  3. I am a woman myself and I want to assure you: there is no such thing as "pheromone magic". A guy can give off tons of pheromones, enough to make the entire room fog up, yet some women still won't be attracted to him. It is all a matter of taste. So when you get healthier, you are more sexually appealing, but it does not mean that females will be swarming around you like mosquitoes. Only the ones who find that you are "their type".

I have answered your question so please please please answer mine :)

Before i ate only meat (lean meats chicken fish etc.) and vegetables and was having some stomach issues with that. then i switched to eating higher fat meats, and adding lots of butter to leaner meats, as well as starting to take high doses of fish oil/viatmin d. for note I'm 18yo, sub 10% bf, and am pretty sure my T is spiked up (regardless of pheromones) because I've been killing it in the gym everyday and recovering like crazy. – hank nova Jan 13 2012 at 19:18
Thanks for answering! Do you eat any fruit? I am asking because I am curious. Thanks again! – VB Jan 13 2012 at 19:21

nope, haven't eaten fruit since late september-ish. I'm a college student so to maximize efficiency with my schedule my eating is something like this on an average day: breakfast- 8 eggs, 4oz bacon(at my crossfit gym) lunch- 16oz chicken/butter, spinach/mushrooms (at school dining hall) dinner- 16oz beef, lettuce/tomato (in dorm kitchen) and as you can see I eat pretty low carb, yet I'm still a top performer in crossfit competitions at my gym – hank nova Jan 13 2012 at 19:26
Wow, interesting, thanks... I have been trying to give up fruit... but I cannot for some reason. I get those fruit cravings, and I have fruit with every meal. Maybe if I start eating more fat it will help? Anyway, thanks for the answer and good luck with your competitions! – VB Jan 13 2012 at 19:43

no problem, and at first i had trouble giving up fruit and also had it with every meal. i replaced them with carrots which helped, but once you get used to lower carb you'll be fine. – hank nova Jan 13 2012 at 21:09

yes, its weird to be a 55 year old male and see the reflection of a young woman checking out your buttocks, i think it has nothing to do with pheromones though. when i stare at a woman's physic im not sniffing the air after all.

I have noticed some similar things. Could it be that you feel better and hence feel better about yourself and hence are more confident and hence some women respond to that perceived confidence? Of course it could be the magic of pheromones I suppose.

I've always been confident. This apreared after I began mega dosing fish oil/butter pills/vit d. All of which are known to boost t – Hank nova Jan 13 2012 at 15:26

I see a lot more eye contact, smiles, and 20yr olds expressing outright interest.

On the flip side, ever notice being around a woman and thinking that she's really pretty and you should feel more interested than you do? I suspect the pill. It would really screw up the pheromones wouldn't it?
