Hey all,

In my last run to the store, I bought a tiny bag of Deep River Rosemary & Olive Oil chips, an old favorite. Though they were pretty cheap, I think I'd have more fun making my own. Especially since I was going to make kale chips soon too.

Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, or simple recipes? These would need to be baked probably, as I only have a very small pot.

I check Chow Stalker fairly frequently for recipes and they have one for baked or microwaved chips. The link is for potato chips but I've made sweet potato and other types since I have a mandolin. Pretty easy!

I confess I usually fry mine but I make small quantities every now and then so I don't worry about it. – Nance Jan 27 2012 at 20:26
Wow--that looks so simple, I had no idea. Suddenly I can once again conceive of crisp things to dip into pate, salsa, or guacamole! – Christopher Gagnon Jan 27 2012 at 20:34

Hi Caleb,

Here is a recipe for you to make sweet potato chips.

Here is a Paleo Project Sweet Potato Chips recipe. Typically, I just cut the sweet potato into medallions and season to my taste. I like cinnamon on my chips. For a tip, I'd say just make sure the chips are tossed in oil before baking and bake at a low temp if you can afford to wait.
