For any other men out there, have you had experience with a yeast infection? Has anyone had success or trouble while going Paleo? What would you recommend?
It's been a while since I've been here and since I ate 100 percent paleo. I was doing Raw Paleo for over 3 months last year.
A big problem for me has always been not getting enough carbohydrates in the diet. I need a decent amount of carbohydrates. I have done a few months of VLC and ZC and it never turned out well. I have done my share of fasting and trying to get into ketosis and it never worked for me.
I let go of dieting in the last half year and have really been indulging in carbohydrates, life became "sweeter".
I used to suspect that I had candida for a long time, having almost all the symptoms, yet all I did against "candida", nothing ever helped. It wasn't until recently that I moved to Europe, started drinking alcohol, having sex and eating more carbs that I actually ever noticed what seems to be a yeast infection.
So what's clear is that I should definitely drink less/no alcohol, cut out as many carbs as possible, etc..
I've been eating much more paleo recently and go with it as much as I can now.
Is there any advice on this from someone with experience?
I am definitely going to see a doctor, I feel that they are a little different here than in the U.S.
