About the only thing I've been able to find is US Wellness but they have a crazy minimum order requirement and from various reviews I've read a lot of people were pretty unhappy with it (tastes like a "candle" and the meat was supposedly not 100% dried).

Making my own sounds interesting but I'm not set up to do that and would rather get a feel for how much I really like the stuff before embarking on that adventure.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I had the same concerns before jumping into making my own pemmican so I ordered from US Wellness just to give it a try. Although homemade is light years better the stuff from them was at least edible and it let me know that I could handle the whole taste concept. After I made my own I just used theirs for the primal pup!

Hi,

Does anyone know another source for Pemmican as this company says it will only last a few days unrefrigerated. They don't have the equipment to make it the ideal way.

	Not sure how long you intend to store it unrefrigerated, but I've kept bars of U.S. Wellness pemmican in a briefcase for on-the-go snacking close to a week, and it's been fine. – WyldKard Jul 12 2011 at 13:17
