A nutritionist recommended I try the Blood Type Diet. After an initial trial run, my energy levels, digestive improvements and fat loss have plateaued. What do I do now? I have Type-A blood which supposedly means I need to avoid red meat, dairy and wheat. The latter two are easy for me to avoid, but red meat does seem to aggravate my digestion when I've tried to go Paleo before. I've been able to better tolerate grass-fed beef. Could that be the solution?

There is no such thing as a "blood type" diet. According to those theories Type-A blood should follow a vegetarian diet and Type-O (70%) of the population should follow a diet somewhat similar to Paleo. (I transitioned from an O-type diet to Paleo) To me the only reason why people report success on these types of diets is simply because they eliminate processed foods and allergens (dairy, wheat, etc) I think you should focus on following a strict Paleo diet and see how you feel. Eliminate grains, legumes, dairy and focus on eating nutrient dense foods such as high quality meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. Robb Wolf has a strong stance against the Blood type diet.
