I prefer the freshness and taste of coconut water in young thai coconuts rather than boxes. You also get extra fat in the jelly inside. If you ferment the water with water kefir grains you can lower the sugar to negligible amounts. |

I'm a huge coconut water fan. Here's my rankings.

I have to say that I think paying $3.00 or more for a little cardboard box or aluminum can of coconut water no longer appeals to me. If I drink coconut water, it is from a coconut that I paid $1 for. Then, I can compost the shell and eat the inner "container" (i.e. nut) for the next 3-4 days. |

The best, I can't say. But I've tried a number and my fave cocount water is O.N.E. |

Amy and Brian's in the metal cans. IMO the aluminum cans have an aftertaste. Juice only, no added crap. A bunch of the other brands are being snatched up by the big boys. A&B seem to be a proud little company. Amazon has the best pricing I've seen. |

What's the point of inbibing coconut water? Is it very nutritious? |

Another vote for Amy and Brian's Coconut Juice. Tasty AND the cans are BPA free. -Ryan Wilder |

In the same way that the best milk is watered down heavy cream, perhaps the best coconut water is watered down full-fat coconut milk. |

I've tried 4 or 5 brands and the only one that tastes like real coconut water in my opinion is the "Taste Nirvana" brand tons of potassium something like 600 mg and about 10 carbs. |

Amy and Brians is my favorite. Here is a link. I have tried other brands but they taste watered down too much. |

I really prefer straight from the coconut but I won't just buy any old coconut and the one's I would buy aren't just $1..... I really like vitacoco and I love that it comes in the tetrapak. I also like Amy and Brian with pulp- what a treat! But I don't like the aluminum or that it doesn't state BPA-free....which is to be determined I guess. |

I prefer it from the coconut too and it's not pasteurized either straight from the coconut but I was having hard time getting a coconut where the water hadn't gone bad and the coconut costs more than a dollar and you don't get as much water. Sometimes I get it in the little box and just dilute with water. I couldn't imagine drinking it straight, too sugary tasting for me. |

I drink, on average, 20 ounces of cocunut water a day. upwards to 65 ounces on days I am working out in the heat a lot. I ussually get the cheapest per unit of volume i can find that has no added sugar. LOVE the high potassium. The brands I drink are, lately, Zico and Vita Coco as they are the cheapest per unit volume around here. |

I order the raw organic frozen coconut water from Exotic Superfoods. They do local delivery to the NYC area and also ship nationwide. It is just like cracking open a fresh coconut. It is also shipped nationwide and they have recently been distributing to places like Whole Foods. It isn't cheap, but I love it. It is so viscous and satisfying. If you can't afford a whole case, try to find it in a local store. It is so good without having to crack open green coconuts. |

http://www.harmlessharvest.com/ That's the one guys... I am from the tropics and yes real coconuts are the best, however, if you are in the states it's been soaked formaldehyde, no joke. The one above is organic, raw and in BPA free plastic which is not the best but sure beats a can. Check it out. It's pricey but closest to real deal. |
