I've been on a strict Paleo diet for almost 2 years and I'm loving life however if I could have one cheat meal without any consequence I would loveeee a Grilled Cheese!

Pasta with loads of garlic bread on the side. Then double cream condensed milk icecream and waffles, pancakes, panettone and espresso and those sugary cola bottle sweets. Then another coffee and Spanish crispy palmeritas and a French pan au chocolat. Then finally a shared tarte tatin, candle light Argentine Tango and roll in the bed with a beautiful woman. Sorry got a bit carried away there. |

I find this a difficult question. I can't pick just one because they are not always as satisfying as I have in mind. No idea how that comes but last week the pancakes were delicious and yesterday they were so dry and definitely not tasty. The same happens with the fries and eclairs. Anyhow, my preferable cheat meal would be: Pancakes from Bruges vs. BELGIAN fries vs. éclairs

Definitely pizza. Very thin, very crispy on the bottom, from a wood-fired oven. A slice so big you have to fold it up to eat it, and the cheese is browned on top, with sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms lurking under there. With copious quantities of beer. This has been my fantasy meal since Day 1. Oddly, I even did have a treat day with a little pizza, but it wasn't THAT pizza, and it sucked. It has to be THAT pizza, or NO pizza, from now on. |

I can't decide between a gooey cinnamon bun, thin crust pizza, or swedish pancakes. It's the textures I miss more than the flavours. Damn that glutinous gluten! |

After a year on Paleo, I don't even crave or miss any of that stuff. If you twisted my arm, I'd say pizza, but even so, I crave a good steak with a bit of melted ghee on top and some grilled shrimp, a lot more than pizza. And I can have steak every day now. :) |

I'm lucky, I guess, because I can eat yellow-crispy-shelled tacos with a few bites of rice and beans and there are no consequences. I don't push it, but it's fine as an occasional treat. My non-paleo dessert that I know doesn't cause problems is ice cream. In the future I'll probably make paleo-friendly ice cream at home but right now it's still very limited as I'm trying to lose weight slowly. |

Philly cheese steak. There was a place right by my office when I was in grad school. I now know it's all the exorphins from the wheat and cheese, but I craved those like crazy for lunch every day, and I still think about them. just like a recovering heroin addict. |

That is SUCH a HARD qustion! I have weird cravings for stuff all the time. Sometimes I just want a big bowl of Cheerios with Milk or a slice of supreme pizza. I think I miss the Subway Melt sandwich the most, with all those toppings, meat, soft bread, and delicious sauces. Yes, definately a Subway Melt :) Good, but bad question! Now I want a sandwhich xp |

Pizza was always "meh" to me, a food of last resort, when you just can't decide what to get for dinner. The meal that I often break ranks for is a really good, authentic taco... there is a place near me that griddles chorizo, cheese, onions, and lime juice then serves it on a large tortilla... with slices of limes and radishes. If I am going to break my normal eating habits, this is most likely where I will go as it causes me the least discomfort afterwards. The other meal? My wife's homemade bread, grilled with butter, served with the best English-style breakfast this Yank can put together. I can only tolerate it now when hungover, since I already feel like crap - the meal's impact psychologically is lessened. I do slightly miss ice cream, the only "sweet" I've ever enjoyed. |
