I think it started my senior year in highschool or something... I have no idea why!!! First of all I look way younger than my age. I just started fully staying on paleo (been on it for two weeks now) and I am wondering if it can be reversed or something :(.

Probably not reversible via diet. This is almost certainly a genetic thing. Did your dad and/or grandparents have white hair young? Make the most of it. "Gray looks distinguished," goes a familiar saying. I colored my gray hair for a while, at the temples, using "Just For Men." I grew worried about the regular exposure to toxic chemicals. Given the gray and the rapidly receding hairline, I started shaving my head. No more shampoo, conditions, combs, or concerns about hairstyle. Perfect solution — for me. |

I will disagree slightly with Dorado. In general, I agree that graying hair is not reversible, HOWEVER my friends and I agree that my hair has gotten some dark color back in the months I've eaten ancestrally. Genetically, I began to get gray hairs at 21 and it was a slow, steady process. Fine. I'm now assuming my hair had gotten as silver as it was at 64 partially because of diet-induced health problems. I really had silvery, colorless hair and I now have streaks of steel gray. I'm taking it as a definite sign of better nutrition/health. The improvement could also be partially because I stopped using commercial shampoos, which made my scalp extremely itchy no matter which brand I tried. I now shampoo rarely and when I do I use a mild soap nuts extract. |

Yah, check if it's a family/genetic thing. Usually when it starts that early, it is. I don't think there's much you can do about it. |

I'm in the same boat. I'm 23 and look quite young for my age, with the exception of premature white hairs. There's been some talk around the internetz about early greying caused by lack of copper and/or excess stress, and I haven't seen any new greys since I started eating liver and managing my stress about a year ago (along with eating paleo-ish). But there's a good chance that it's just genetic. |

My brother was about 1/8 grey/white when he was 18. He lived with my mom who is a certified psycho. When he moved out at 22 after college (he commuted so he was still constantly living under stress with her) the grey and white hairs went away! We are all still shocked by it, and there has been early greying on my dad's side, but it is mostly with the most stressed out people, so I think stress could be a factor, or at least it seems that way. |
