Has anyone tried Melville Candy Company's stevia sweetened chocolate bars? 98% chocolate and 2% stevia. It's the only chocolate sweetened with just stevia and is only available from the company (online), not in stores. Not cheap.

You eat 100% dark chocolate straight with nothing else? – Primal Toad Feb 5 2012 at 20:17
i was buying the Lindt 99% cocoa bars and i think i got the last seven in ontario; they are no longer selling here :( not many people accepted my offer to share a 2nd time. – sage_ Feb 5 2012 at 21:00
Scharffenberger 100% chocolate is delicious! – Olivia Feb 6 2012 at 5:57
100% dark chocolate is da bomb. Ghiardelli is my personal favorite, Scharffenberger and Dagoba are excellent as well. I never eat sweetened chocolate any more. – Canis Minor Feb 6 2012 at 17:05
+1 for unsweetened baking chocolate... I eat the blocks by themselves. It's addicting. – Priscilla Feb 15 2012 at 15:44

Lindt has a 99% cocoa bar that is delicious! It's hard to find (I only know one place that carries it above the 90% mark) but so worth it. It's uber satisfying with that great, fatty taste to it. Worth a try.

This is my favorite dark chocolate bar! 99% Lindt! I've only spotted it at one store and its a local store. Russos if any of you are in Grand Rapids, MI! – Primal Toad Feb 5 2012 at 20:16
they discontinued sales here in my area- i sent them a letter of complaint which they have yet to reply. i was going to switch to the 90% but the ingredient list is sketchy; oddly the 85% is less so. – sage_ Feb 5 2012 at 21:02
Loooove the 99% Lindt. It is amazing with almonds and dried coconut. – Olivia Feb 6 2012 at 5:53

Never heard of it but it looks interesting. The reviews are pretty good too. I could be tempted.

I feel so warm and tingly. It's my first day here and I get down voted for this answer? Who would hate this answer so much that they would go to the trouble of down voting it? That's not unfriendly. That's sick. – Trailertrashpaleo Feb 5 2012 at 21:14

Welcome to the internet. There's always trolls out that like to downvote things. Don't worry about it and keep posting. – James Feb 5 2012 at 21:32

Sorry you had to experience this your first day. I hate to say this but get used to it. You have to let it roll off your back. Lots of great people here. Some complete losers too unfortunately. – Shari Bambino Feb 6 2012 at 1:33

So now that I can't find this in stock anywhere I want it all the more. I might actually lose sleep if I can't get my hands on this stuff. (I'm such a marketer's dream sometimes, lol.) I set myself up to be notified if/when this stuff comes in stock again. I have a feeling it's going to be a bit too bitter for my 85% tastes but I'm excited to get to try something new in the world of chocolate.

must have the chocolate....must have th e chocolate..... – sage_ Feb 6 2012 at 13:24
Obviously this would require some effort but you could melt down a 4oz Ghiradelli 100% Dark Chocolate bakers bars and add some organic stevia yourself and make your own. Right now, I'm just eating the 100% Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate as is, because it is harder to binge on 100% chocolate. – Wcc Kamal Stabby fan Feb 7 2012 at 17:21
I'm an 85% Ghirardelli kind of girl. Yeah that's way too much effort for me. I don't actually like chocolate all that much. I eat it because I have so few other options, lol. I won't work for it though. It must be an "unwrap, pop into mouth" deal or I'm out. – Shari Bambino Feb 7 2012 at 17:27
I am in a similar boat. I've eating way too much cheese and chocolate because I am trying to eat so called healthy snacks. You can only eat so much cheese but I've been eating about 1.5 oz of 85% chocolate for the past month and I think that is probably too much for me. Macadamia nuts are good but they are kind of pricey for me to eat a lot of. – Wcc Kamal Stabby fan Feb 7 2012 at 17:39
I'm totally grappling with the snacks too Richard. I bought $100 worth of macadamia nuts from TJ's and am eating my way through those but yes, too rich for my blood. I love their Lucques olives but at $4 a jar again way too much $. The chocolate is so darn good with hot tea so on cold days it's hard for me to resist. It's more reasonably priced though for sure. Still working on finding some cheap snacks. Love cheese and microwaved pepperoni/salami but way to many calories for me (for what I can eat). Sigh. I really need to learn to love cucumbers. – Shari Bambino Feb 8 2012 at 0:09

What exactly are the ingredients? If its just cacao/cocoa and stevia then I'd be all over it. It looks like its available at Sears which is strange to me. The price is not terrible. I'd still prefer to buy 85% from TJ's for only $1.49 per bar myself. This very bar I am talking about was featured in this month's issue of Paleo magazine!

In short, if I saw it in a store I'd try it.
