I've searched through the hacks but haven't come across my exact problem. I came down sick with either the stomach flu or food poisoning. I ended up in urgent care that night because I couldn't even keep liquid down and got dehydrated. They ran an IV and pumped me full of saline and Ondansetron and Diloted since I still have chronic pain and couldn't take any meds. Finally around 1am I got some Ginger peppermint tea down and yes resorted to a couple Graham crackers. All I can seem to eat is oatmeal. I've tried eating eggs and even a whey shake but every time I eat I get horrible pain in from my diaphragm down to my lower abdomen. I am allergic to wheat so got horrible gas from the grains I've eaten and can't pass it unless I'm laying on my left side. I'm trying desperately to get back off grains but seem to have a really hard time digesting protein of any kind. I tried taking HCL with Pepsid tonight hoping it would help. I've doubled up on my probiotics. The pain was so severe under my ribcage tonight I considered going to the hospital. I ate dinner at 7 and it's now 11:30 and the pain is starting to move down into my middle abdomen. The only way I get relief is to lay down. I do still have GERD and problems with constipation on a good day. If I get up and walk around it's so much worse!
I've read that digestive enzymes may help people are having trouble digesting but don't know if that's a good idea since this all started with the flu and the really poor choice of eating grains.
Please help I'm desperate!
