Hi All,
I just started CF (I've done 2 Foundations classes). I've been eating Paleo for a year and doing Bikram yoga regularly (about 2x/wk). I stopped doing Bikram a couple weeks before I started CF (I had to save the $$ somehow!!). I look very lean, but not muscular (hence my desire to try CF).
This morning, after two days in a row of Foundations at night, I woke up feeling so nauseous I couldn't eat and with some pretty harsh digestive symptoms..ahem. Hours later, I am still feeling too nauseous to eat so I'm force-feeding myself some tea at the moment (Yogi, lemon-ginger), just to make sure I stay hydrated and hoping it will soothe my stomach. I got my usual 8 hours of sleep but I feel tired, sore and totally unmotivated to do anything. It's almost, though not exactly, like I'm sick with the flu (I can tell I'm not "sick" in a viral sense, not sure how I know, I can just feel the difference).
Last night, post workout, I grilled some chicken thigh meat in coconut oil with a side of sauteed cauliflower also in coconut oil, with curry seasoning and ate half an avocado. The meal was a little high on the fatty side of things, but I figured that was probably a good thing because I would need the energy. Also, there should be no risk that the meal wasn't clean/paleo (and I have had a stomach of steal my whole life, anyway, even before I was paleo, so I'm doubting that I am experiencing symptoms because I got "glutened"). And the chicken was fresh.
Is this NORMAL? What in the world is going on here? Could it be the intensity of the workout is wreaking havoc on my body? Thanks for your thoughts. All the posts on CF are scaring me, so reassurance that CF is not slowly killing me would be nice. :)
