Are there items that you just can't buy or have in your house because leads to a binging episode? I am starting to think I just can't have nuts (and any type of nut butter) and any type of primal sugar(honey coconut sugar etc). Just knowing it is here I just keep eating and eating them until they are GONE! I start out good -- and just take a serving but then a few days later I eat until it is gone.

All the usual non-paleo suspects. Maple syrup is the absolute worst to have anywhere nearby.

The things I have the biggest problem with are the ones that aren't paleo, actually. Wheat in the form of bread, cookies, cake, pie...you get the picture. Dark chocolate can cause a problem one week of the month. Ugh, I sound so virtuous. |

I don't eat non-paleo foods so I don't mind when they're in the house, but I can't keep any kind of fruit in the house. One or two dried figs lead to serious sugar binges. |

If I let myself have Hot Tamales or Jelly Beans in the house, they would be gone within the day! So if I rarely get them, and when I do, I only buy a tiny bag. I'd say goat cheese, Greek Yogurt and rice crackers are my other weaknesses. Or when my dad comes to visit after a business trip to Holland and brings Dutch cheese with him ---- holy moly that stuff is amazing! |

I can have anything non-paleo in the house and I don't touch it. But, when I make homemade chocolate wafers or homemade larabars, I'm in trouble. I can eat up to four a day, and that's using some restraint! It can get ugly... |

organic corn torilla chips and fresh made guacamole is my downfall also, dark chocolate bars and granola bars.... better off just not having any of that stuff around, because, while healthy in moderation, they never get eating in 'moderation'. |

nuts, nut butters, pork rinds! anything with sugar...thats why i buy the 100% baker's chocolate squares because im not tempted to eat more than one square at a time. but the big one is definitely nut butters. so dangerous! |

White corn popcorn slathered popped in ghee slathered with Kerrygold melted butter. So tasty that I had reserved it for my 70th birthday in May after consuming way too much. I can eat a huge bowlful. I feel lumpy the next day. I bought some organic kernals yesterday. I wonder how long I can hold out. May is months away. I feel secure having the popcorn on hand. Stay tuned. |

I love my homemade paleo granola. I cant make it very often, because I have tendency to get a big bowl, paleo granola and coconut milk. I lick the bowl. NOT. GOOD. |

I of course have a problem with almond butter, but I believe any decent tasting nut butter, that I know is good for me, would be a problem. I have stopped eating almond butter for three days now, and before that I have only begun eating less than half a jar a day. I did feel sick the first time, and have gotten some stomach aches of course from eating half jars and whole jars during my recent binges. But I never felt a significant amount of inflammation, though I did feel some. And I feel slight inflammation in my hands and face from something as very light as summer squash, so I believe I have a good detection ability. |
