increasing fat gives me cystic acne.

Increasing what kind of fat? Beef, lamb and coconut oil cause acne? – Bruno Feb 13 2012 at 15:55

I'm curious how you came to the conclusion of these two foods.. more information would be helpful? – Priscilla Feb 13 2012 at 15:59
i have a history of kidney disease.protein in form of meat and fish just doesn't make me feel my best, feel extremely bloated and sometimes get nausea.i came to the conclusion i absolutely need some carbs like potatoes for better studies and physical performance.Noticed that eggyolks from my dad's chickens don't mess up with my sensitive gallbladder and problematic skin as well as goat dairy as protein source. – NickTheRealEater Feb 13 2012 at 18:39
2 years ago I lived on practically a potato-only diet, and I did great, actually. I don't think it's very healthy, but if it works, why not. The Kitavans eat practically only sweet potatoes. I don't do well with a lot of animal protein either. – Bruno Feb 15 2012 at 12:45

That suggested diet sounds horrifying to me! Sadly, you're condition is probably worse than mine, but I have to watch what I eat somewhat as well for cystic acne (for me the trigger is dairy products). Not to mention that potatoes bind me up something fierce ... but I digress.

Remember that seafood and meats aren't inherently "high fat". There are plenty of lean meats out there that are delicious. My favorite of the leans is probably my favorite meat overall: elk. Goat is probably more readily available, and quite delicious. Many fish (most of the white fish) are very, very low in fat.

So, if you can process potatoes and goat dairy, that part sounds okay. However, you should be able to incorporate plenty of lean meat, even if it's mostly seafood.

I plugged these into Fitday (3 cups of potatoes and 3 cups of yogurt) and it looks like you would be short on Vitamin A, D, E, a lot of minerals (iron, magnesium, etc.) Like greymouser said, you can probably eat a much larger variety of foods without necessarily eating a lot of fat.

perhaps my current diet plus fish oil supplements, magnesium and egg yolks could be better. In fact i tolerate fiber verly badly,so vegetables are out. – NickTheRealEater Feb 13 2012 at 15:54

Ah I see. If you can stomach them, I'd try for some livver and shellfish- that'll give you a lot of nutrients. Are you familiar with the GAPS protocol? I've been considering it for myself- maybe it would help your tolerance to different foods. – Jules K Feb 13 2012 at 18:34
oops- *liver not livver :) – Jules K Feb 13 2012 at 18:36

Could you add some meat and egg yolks and perhaps some spinach or broccoli? Egg yolks would be from hard boild eggs?
