Paleo and just eating fish and shellfish? (And little bit of chicken)

I was wondering if anyone out there is on a paleo seafood diet. I have been looking at the Mediterranean diet recently, as I want to increase my intake of fish, but I am horrified at the amount of carbs that is in most Mediterranean-based diet plans. So, my question is: Has anyone done well on a paleo (low carb) diet BASED exclusively, (or nearly exclusively) on seafood and does anyone have any resources, books, websites etc. that I can read about it.

I would be grateful if anyone has any recipe book links too, preferably including a wide variety of seafood including obscure fish.

p.s. general question: what do people think of seaweed (I mean the stuff gathered from the beach)???

This is't a paleo resource, per se, but I'd definitely bookmark the seafood recommendations from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch. Choosing seafood over ruminants/pork would be a no-brainer aside from concerns related to pollution (e.g., mercury) and sustainabilty (read: overfishing).

Me, I'm encouraged by their recommendations for farmed mussels and oysters because these shellfish are a great source of some essential micronutrients. These plus some wild fatty fish (Alaska salmon, sardines) would probably make for an incredibly healthy diet.
