So I had some dairy the day before yesterday. It wasn't much, but it affected me severely.
I had two tablespoons of organic sour cream, a tablespoon of organic cream cheese, and about an ounce of commercial colby cheese.
Keep in mind I usually eat about 2 tablespoons of kerrygold a day without any issue... first tablespoon is to fry my eggs, second is throughout the course of the day on veggies and such.
Yesterday was absolutely miserable. Slow, painful evacuation (not constipation, more like lava toothpaste), and 4 occurrences (I'm normally a once-a-day kinda guy). I ended up stopping at breakfast and fasting all day until it was gone (I ate this morning and am OK).
Now, considering these were all "soft cheeses" or "sour cream", and I usually don't have any issue with goatsmilk soft cheeses, hard cow cheeses (asiago, aged cheddar, manchego), or butter - could this mean my issues are not casein, but lactose?
