Due to some complications with passing a kidney stone early last year I have been prescribed a couple of months of Alfuzosin and wondering if anyone has had any experience taking an Alpha-blocker?

The listed side effects include: 'crushing pain that is felt behind the breastbone and may spread to the arms, neck and jaw', 'prolonged and painful erection of the penis, unrelated to sexual activity' and finally 'dizziness, weakness or sweating within a few hours of taking tablets' to which I am instructed to 'then you should lie down with your legs and feet raised up in the air until the symptoms have disappeared.'

Well, there goes my weekend then!?

For the first time being called unique, or 1 in 10,000 is not a desired compliment.
