What happened regarding the whole C/Kruisegate incident? The supposed FB hacking? The implication of innocents in some pretty serious wrongdoing? The posted pictures of Jack-as-Arnold-Schwarzenegger? That ridiculous face paint at the football... (more)

It's appropriate that you've created a troll account to pose this question "EatLessMoveMoore" but I suggest for your own good you put down the carbs and climb back into the ice bath. ;) (more)

Is anyone trying the Quilt's Cold Thermogenesis protocol? Any results so far? Positive or negative? If not, why? It uses the Paleo template we all know ,love and practice and it costs less than 10 cents to become an expert at (if it works!).

I'm seeing both sides of this one. I don't really see Quilt's new assertions as part of the "paleo diet/lifestyle" but I guess you could say the same about the leptinRX and that's been heavily discussed. I don't know if thermogenesis will be an... (more)

Quilt, I think I saw snippets of advice on this buried in previous posts. But what all round foods and supplements do you think would aid neurogenesis - new brain cell growth? (outside of cold water baths... :)

Anything that increase progesterone is best and lowers E2 levels. Most modern humans are E2 collectors. In fact most of my younger paleo's have turned up with this issue. Its pretty common. When you increase progesterone This increases BDNF and... (more)

2 meals / day. Skipping Breakfast - vs skipping lunch? I am wondering what the considerations are for each aproach. EDIT: It seems that eating breakfast has the advantage of lowering cortisol levels. Skipping breakfast could possible have... (more)

When I eat a large balanced meal the day before, I don't get hungry until mid-day to evening, and I choose to follow the "don't eat until hungry" advice since all my vital stats are so good now. Although, I've just started eating Greek yogurt and... (more)

Paleo2.0 brought this up as a comment in another question. Is everything that Dr. Kruse has to say about leptin wrong? What has Dr. Kruse said that is correct? Citations would be helpful for many reading here.

Loon, thank you for your critical comments and this thread. Kruse asks questions... and I enjoy all the questions. I love all of our paleo gurus because they each bring unique backgrounds, varied frameworks (high carb v. low carb v.... (more)

Blanket statements and poor biochemistry aside, I cannot stand his poor grammar and lack of punctuation on this site. Most of the time his answers look like they were written by a 3rd grader. I'm expecting to be down voted by his all too faithful... (more)

First, let me specify that I'm asking about Dr. Kruse's specific dietary/supplemental/lifestyle protocol, which I'll refer to as The Quilt, whereas I will refer to the man behind them as Dr. Kruse. I don't want answers regarding problems folks may... (more)

There's nothing wrong with the Leptin Reset other than it's essentially co-opted from another Leptin plan and the claims for how it works are not fleshed out. The Cold Thermogenesis is opposite of what he's claiming it is. A warm blooded... (more)

I think there has been two direct threads and one indirect Cronise thread on the Quilt's cold thermogenesis protocol here on Paleohacks. This is wild stuff, but its generating little spin here. Isn't anyone trying it, or are we all being very... (more)
