Sodium:potassium ratio, dreaming and bath-salt paleo zombie attacks . . .

I've been experimenting with Sea Salt and dietary potassium (hacking absolute quantities, as well as relative proportions).

I've noticed that when I consume lots of sea salt, I experience vivid dreams when sleeping, and can remember the dreams when I wake up in the morning. Normally, I don't recall the dreams, or perhaps don't dream at all.

With bath salt induced hallucinations causing horrific cannibal/zombie attacks in the U.S. recently, it got me wondering:

Is the potassium:sodium balance of hydration (inside/outside cells) affecting my brain/dreams, and to an extreme, these terrible cannibalistic attacks?

Am I one sea salt shaker away from doing something terrible?

Have you experienced vivid dreaming or changes in dreaming as you varied your sodium:potassium?

Mike

And no: I don't think someone getting high on bath salts and eating another human counts as him being 'on paleo'.

At least the cop didn't blame it on his paleo diet: we wouldn't want sales of Robb's book to suffer :-)

I actually read an article saying that ACTUAL bath-salt sales are starting to suffer because of this association!

There has been no toxicology report released in the "bath-salt zombie" case to indicate he even used it. That was just wild speculation from a cop who was interviewed, it's not even related to LSD. I am really starting to hate this meme, the media seems to be blaming it on everything now. This guy was just a freaking psycho.

I guess I'm not up on the drug scene. I thought bath salts were like epsom salts that people were abusing to get high. I guess I should get out more :-)

Why keep asking essentially the same sodium:potassium question over and over again?

"Bath salts" the drug have nothing to do with salts. "The "bath salts," are powerful synthetic stimulants, designed to be comparable to cocaine or methamphetamine..." http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jan/28/nation/la-na-bath-salts-20110128

Maybe it has to do with the sodium potassium ratio??

When I have a ton of potassium, near 12000mg daily, I have some terrible nightmares. I have no idea why.
