I also watch her channel on youtube mainly for raw desserts ideas. From what I understood she follows 80 10 10 raw vegan diet and it forbiddens from eating many fats. Fats can only contribute to 10% of your daily calories so she is not eating... (more)

I eat raw meat occasionally, and have heard some raw food folks make comments similar to yours. It never happened with me though, even after going a month without cooked meat. Cooked still smells and tastes good, and I prefer cooked for taste. ... (more)

Salmon tends to carry parasites, which is why I wouldn't suggest eating it raw unless you have a commercial strength freezer. Tuna, on the other hand, usually does not. The only concern is with surface bacteria.

Whatever you do, stay away from raw CAFO meat. I had some seared with a raw center and was bed-ridden for the first time in over two years. (been primal since late October)

-1 for implying raw milk is any more susceptible to being contaminated with 'bad bacteria' than regular milk. Often they must meet even more stringent requirements from my understanding.

Do a google search for 'bacteria unwashed vegetables' or 'bacteria unwashed greens.' Plenty of cases of sickening and even deadly e. coli originate with unwashed produce. I'd worry about that before pesticides, honestly.

Lactase just breaks the bond between the glucose and galactose molecules. It doesn't change the content of the sugar, just the makeup.

Think of it as outsourcing digestion. We cook foods, proteins breakdown into easier to digest forms. Our guts are a lot smaller than most primates and it is due, in no small part, to cooking our food.
