@samc - I would so buy a 1/4 cow - but like you, the butchering would be impossible for me. And I agree, I am not the demo of the coop.. at all. I don't know Bales Thriftway. Perhaps I will need to go there.... (more)

Ok so for Beef I would recommend Deep Roots Meat. They are extremely reasonable. Half a cow last time I bought was $2 lb hang weight + processing fee. The only way to get good quality pastured meat is to buy in bulk. You can always go in with... (more)
