Hack my diet please
Hi everyone I've been eating paleo for about 3.5 months now. I do have some auto-immune diseases (celiac, PCOS, hypothyroid, & raynauds) and I feel great since going paleo. I have lost about 15 easy lbs since starting and still have about 25 to go. I have toyed with adding dairy back in but get very congested and overall heavy feeling for a few days after doing so, so sadly (I love dairy), that is not for me
This is what I had yesterday, which is pretty typical for me, obviously meat choices & veggies will change for variety. I do try to buy organic for the dirty 15, but buy regular grocery for the rest. I buy Grass fed meat & butter, but can only find organic grade for pork, chicken, eggs.
breakfast-2 egg muffins (finely diced bell peppers & mushrooms, + sausage (applegate brand) & cage free organic eggs (can't find pastured locally) + 1 tangerine
lunch-left over shrimp, sausage (aidells brand), homemade marinara sauce with lots of bell pepper & onion over a bed of zucchini noodles (tossed with a dab of kerry gold butter)
Dinner-big salad of romaine & spinach with chopped broccoli, carrots, snap peas with homemade dressing (olive oil, red-wine vinegar, garlic, salt) + Grass fed beef & broccoli -stir fried using coconut oil (& using coconut aminos instead of soy sauce) on a bed of butter sauted broccoli slaw
after dinner snack-spoonful of coconut butter and 1 small square of 85% chocolate
Any thoughts, additions?
