How would I buy a lood blood glucose meter? I'm 18 years old and don't have diabetes. I just want to monitor my glucose levels(thinking about entering ketosis again). Where would I go get one and do I need a prescription? My dad is a diabetic so he got a free meter and got free strips. Does the monitor come with strips or would I have to pay $60-$80 for them seperately? If I happen to get on one soon, what are normal blood glucose levels? My dad came home from work 2 weeks ago and immediately checked his glucose and it was at 5.25.2(alot of you mention 2 digit numbers, is that in America?), he said it was too low and immediately ate an apple. I doubt that this was low, is it? What is considered too low and too high? Can you state some of your average levels so I can gage where I should be?
