- Canned fishes: salmon, tuna, sardines, anchovies, oysters, clams
- Safe starches that can be cooked over a camp stove: small potatoes, rice
- Nuts and safe nut butters, such as almond
- Jerkies (of course)
- Eggs (will keep for several days outside the refridgerator)
- Fresh fruits will also keep for several day
