I decided, after months of no scale movement and a lot of frustration, to drop my birth control to see if it would help me out. I'm definitely feeling it. I'm hunting my boyfriend constantly and here at the end of the month there have been a lot of cramps and crying and general discomfort. I have a feeling my hormones are swinging a little wildly, I don't remember things being like this when I was a teenager. Not to mention the crazy post-menopausal pre-menstruation chocolate cravings (I killed a box of Russel Stovers even though I knew it would make me sick, and it did) So my question is this:

How long is it going to take for my hormonal base to even back out so that I can reap the benefits of a paleo lifestyle? Is there any way for me to speed up this process? I'm eating well (minus my moment of candy weakness), no grains, no dairy, limiting my fruits and nuts, exercising at least 4x per week at my CF box + a little endurance on the side. I feel like once this last factor gets resolved I'll start seeing some results so I'm really eager to get it taken care of.
