I agree with Happy Now that fruit can leave you hungry but I use that to my advantage. My GI tract definitely likes long periods of rest so I prefer to be done eating for the day by 2 or 3 pm.

I eat breakfast between 9 and 11, yogurt with fruit. If anything that seems to stimulate my appetite so I'm ready for my main meal by 1 or 2. If that meal includes more fruit, which isn't rare, the fruit is the first course followed by a leafy salad then meat stew and cooked vegetables.

That formula leaves me very satisfied without feeling sluggish or bloated and I wake up high energy and not at all hungry.

My favorite fruits are pink/red grapefruit, red plums (only in season), figs, dates, watermelon, berries, pineapple and grapes. Banana is a mega-sweetener for me and I like to mash 1/2 of one and stir it into my yogurt then slice the other half on top with cinnamon.

I usually eat 2-3 kinds per day.

EDIT: The fruit I find most satiating is a whole grapefruit. It's not too sweet and there's enough total volume that I don't crave another that day. For all the others, I'll keep eating until I don't have any more.
