The MCTs inside coconut oil speed up metabolism. Maybe not what you want when going prior to bed :-) In larger doses they make some people nauseous. Some unfortunate folks like me happen to be allergic to coconut products, this may also be an option.

I would suggest you don't eat it right before bedtime and maybe together with a meal. And if strange reactions persist, just leave it out a few days.
