Screw the scale. Apart from all the health and logic reasons, vanity rules. You don't look at someone and think, "that 140 pound person is sexy," you think "look at at that fine ass!" The Fine Ass factor is definitely not calculated by the scale,... (more)

How are you guys able to measure how many grams of protein you are eating? I don't have a scale..Also, I have heard you must eat 1 gram per desirable weight. I want to be 130lbs, so 130 grams? Is this right?

Hi Alis, To measure grams of protein you weigh the food (you will need a scale if you want to do it somewhat accurately) and then you look up the food in the USDA nutrition database or some other online database of your choice. Here's an... (more)

I'm trying to be realistic and rational about this whole paleo thing, which means I have to give up on the idea of eating grass-fed meat at every meal. I've started grabbing a rotisserie chicken once or twice a week when I'm short on time. I... (more)

I think if you need to even ask this question the whole Paleo concept is getting too difficult. Its hard enough adhering to this 'life-style' as it is, its definitely doable but requires a lot more effort, truth be told if you want to be real... (more)

To me the scale is my worst enemy. I used to be obsessed - but it just made me sad and made me hate myself. The number on the scale is so unimportant. What is important is how you feel. I haven't weighed myself since 3 weeks after my son was... (more)

Hello everybody! I have been on Paleo (very strict minus the odd drink a couple of times) for about a month. I lost ten pounds the first two weeks and am feeling great! I am just wondering why I can feel my body change and alter (stomach flatter,... (more)

Don't worry about the scale... if you're on Paleo to feel better, the inches and pounds will drop more slowly. If you already feel comfortable on the food program, you can add sports/training/physical activity etc. Also be careful about fruit... (more)

STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF EVERYDAY. If there's any one thing that people get obsessive, then discouraged about, it's what the scale says. Scales themselves fluctuate, as does your body - a daily reading is bound to be change from the previous... (more)
