after a heat stroke it is normal to desire potassium, magnesium, water, and vitamins. I would not function properly these days without my 1/4 watermelon. Just eat in season fruits, rather than apples, which are out of season and vitamin/mineral poor. (more)

When you stop eating things (like wheat for example) your body down regulates certain digestive enzymes. This causes digestive stress when you suddenly reintroduce it.

If you end up in ER, it's not due to cutting out grains, dairy, vegetable oil and excess fructose. Nausea and severe stomach pain just sounds like a stomach bug.

Generally you don't need to worry about altitude sickness untl you're higher then 5,000 ft. For me it kicks in at 12,500 and my wife not to 14,000. Most of where you'll be hiking and other activities around Denver will probably be around 9,000 or... (more)
