I want to buy a pressure cooker to make bone broth and to cook other meals. I like the idea of canning with it too (maybe even can my bone broth...) but my immediate goal is broth and meals. I've seen some great pressure cooker... (more)

@Alex and @pone - I looked up the Kuhn and it appears to be a stove top one. Do you prefer that to automatic? Do you have to watch it a lot while it's' in use? I was originally leaning toward stove top thinking it was more control... (more)

It all comes down to nutrient density. 100% across the board DVs might take 2500 calories on a standard diet, a paleo diet might only require 1500 calories. That doesn't mean you stop eating when you meet those micronutrient requirements, energy... (more)

I just started Paleo 2 days ago. When making something like bacon and eggs for breakfast what is a good portion size? I am a fairly active male, 30 years old, 5'8" 240lbs. I am trying to lose a few pounds but that is not my priority, I am just... (more)

240lbs, looking to lose less than 10lbs? It depends on what else you eat but I'd guess somewhere around 4 slices of bacon, 4-6 eggs and 1/2 of berries if you are on LC side. HC, maybe 1 slice ham, 4-6 eggs and 2 smallish potatoes.

First question - so hello all! Ok, I would like find out some opinions on adding some lean size and what would be required to do so... I've been paleo for a good 6 months and enjoy it (with the occasional naughty!). 80kg, 6ft and 9%bf (tested in... (more)

Pretty much you need to change everything. Not so be snarky, but cycling, IFing and bodyweigh and kettlebells is pretty much what you do if you don't want to gain size. Eat a bunch of food, lift heavy weights that utilize the big muscles... (more)

Currently my number one goal is to make lean gains in strength and muscle size. I just want to get bigger. I'm open to try anything to make it happen, it's just a matter of fitting it into my schedule. I'm in class or at work from 7AM-6PM every... (more)

Yeah definitely stop fasting. Keep carbs pre and post workout everything else meat and veggies. If I were you I would stop doing WODS and start doing some strength training. You can't have "strength-endurance" unless you have strength, and... (more)

does people internal organs sizes vary on there bodies weight

Agree with Nance, fat is stored not only under the skin (above muscle) but also around the organs. So individual size, I am not sure, but the entire internal organ system composition would be larger given the fat surrounding.

Your body can only synthesize about 30 grams of protein in one sitting, so you should shoot for about that much. The "eyeball test" states lean meat portions should be no larger than the size of your palm; fattier meats should be smaller. I'd keep... (more)

I seem to be going through them really quickly; the beef cooked in butter is divine. But the packages are a bit pricey and I'm wondering if I'm being a bit overindulgent. How many meals can you stretch out of 1 lb of beef?

Knowing that breast tissue is composed of mostly fat, I was wondering if anyone has noticed cup-size changes since being on Paleo. Being that we consume much more fat, but we also burn more, I wanted to see what changes, if any, you have seen. I... (more)

As a guy, I will say I would much rather see smaller firmer breast on a fit woman than large breast on a flabby one. Its a package deal, a present does not look nice with crappy wrapping paper and a pretty bow. I am guessing that most women would... (more)
