I love meat! I eat it everyday! But I have a zinc defficiency and cannot for the life of me figure out why. My skin gets dry and chicken bumps form all over. My zinc levels were low, but I can't understand why. I havent eaten any grains for months... (more)

Try a zinc tally test AKA zinc challenge.  This is a liquid form of zinc that you'd put a few drops of on your tongue and taste.  If you notice no taste at all, i.e. just like water, then you need zinc.  The stronger the taste, the... (more)

I guess is because once you don't eat too much carbs, you lose water from the muscles at the beginning. I think you should drink more water. But i'm not an expert, sorry.

A mega-dose of a non water soluble vitamin would work great since you can store it in fat - like vitamin A. However, vit C and zinc are water soluble so you'd just pee out the excess and be deficient again in a few days without a regular dose. (more)

Omegas help skin too, eat more fish (yes - it can be affordable) and/or take supplements. I certainly notice my skin stays clear when my omega intake is maintained.
