When i have a soccer game coming up, what foods and how much should i eat to make sure i have enough energy for the game. (i feel like vegetables wouldn't provide enough energy and a lot of meat makes me feel slow, but im no expert)

Crock pot some meat (beef, pork, turkey), it will last you all week. That's what I do for my kids, with some nut mix, carrot and cucumber slices... oh yeah, over a bed of baby spinach of course.

i started adding a lot of starch last week, and have so much more energy. i think part of it is that the starch is replacing overly large veggie servings that interfered with digestion and were sometimes goitrogenic.
