Aside from gluten issues which aren't affected by sprouting, the reason people avoid grains (gut irritants, phytic acid, etc) are not completely removed by sprouting. They are generally reduced, however, so sprouted grains are better than... (more)

All I have is garlic with little green bits coming from the tips of the cloves. Is eating this as bad as eating green potatoes?

I ate soaked buckwheat for a long time because it didn't have an affect on me. Then it started giving me stomach cramps (around the same time avocado and pineapple were giving me the same problems), so now it's on my "eat only rarely" list. I do... (more)

I eat sprouted buckwheat from time to time. I either make granola with it or turn it into crepes or pancakes or oatmeal-type hot cereal. I wouldn't consider it paleo but I think many would do just fine with it and I know of several paleo eaters... (more)

If you're talking about the ones in your fridge, yeah these are as safe to eat as the onions were, though they've probably been sitting around for a while, so have a higher chance of spoilage and will have some off flavors. A bunch of onions pop... (more)
