Husband's levels are total 252, HDL 52 and LDL 183. Triglycerides are fine and CRP was excellent. LDL was up from a year ago and HDL down slightly. After some of the reading I've done, I'm not overly concerned, but it had been under control... (more)

I am obviously not a doctor but exercise will help improve muscle insulin sensitivity so any sugar has a place to go where it won't have damaging effects. Also, consume fewer calories. Not only will this lower insulin levels, but it may starve... (more)

No they aren't safe long term (>6mo). For starters, they suppress your immune system, which isn't all that great in the eye to begin with due to lack of access to the lymphatic system. More importantly, though, is that they increase IOP which... (more)

Crepitus is usually not a problem at all and AFAIK the louder the crack the less problematic it is. You may want to try MSM, HA and friends for at least 6 months. Paul Jaminet would argue that you need safe starches for joint health, although I... (more)

You take tones of vitamin C, and maybe, just maybe glucosamine, HA and MSM on longer run might help if they are delivered on right place.
