Nuts are very hard on the GI, I'd avoid. Really, unless you're full-blown celiac, just eat the saltines for a little bit and quick graduate to real food.

Actually, I don't think the common theory of "too much acid = GERD" makes much such to begin with. I mean think about the reasoning when it comes to heartburn: The cause of the heartburn is that stomach acid gets in contact with the esophagus.... (more)

Burping is a result of GAS, not acid. The gas is from aerobic respiration from aerobic bacteria in your gut.

I'm finding that if I spray my waist line with magnesium oil, I have to go around 5 hours later. It will probably act faster with a person with a normal sized colon.

I don't think you want to stress her body extra by switching to a relatively extreme (low carb) diet from what it was. Stress in any form is not good. Just removing sugar/excessive fructose and wheat from her diet and otherwise not changing... (more)
