Emptiness in stomach after meal?

For about two/three weeks now I've been feeling a strange emptiness sensation around my stomach area 10 minutes after eating. I was wondering if anyone ever experienced this as well? I'm having trouble figuring out where it could come from exactly. I suspect a stomach acid issue? I can't remember how long I've been paleo (a long time) but during the last month or so I've been LC and so I permitted myself to eat whipping cream. I suspect this could be a cause with all the fat and lactose? I'm not sure.

Does anyone have experience with this "emptiness" feeling? It's quite uncomfortable. It does leave after a while but I really don't want to just let it be. I haven't experienced any bloating or burning, and I don't get tightness in my throat like it seems some people do. My stomach just feels very empty.

Thanks for the replies

ah but cravings feel different. I feel empty but not so much the urge to eat. Right now my diet consists of meat and lots of vegetables. Since I suspect it has something to do with an acid deficiency I've recently started cooking my meat with pressed lemon and putting lemon on pretty much anything. Also I've cut all dairy recently.

Probably craving. What does your diet consist of?

The suspected acid deficiency and the empty feeling could very much be an H.Pylori infection. Please have it checked out (Stool test by ur doc) because this problem you're describing is exactly how my problems started. Until I got rid off H.Pylori, I had this empty feeling just like you. It's probably because you have (slight) irritation of the stomach lining and when you have the acid pouring in after a (protein rich) meal, the acid kind of burns the already irritated stomach lining. But I say "slight" because it might not be an ulcer yet, but just enough irritation to cause this empty feeling. And taking HLC for stomach acid deficiency in these cases could actually worsen the problem. You'd need to sooth your stomach lining first.

I used to have a similar sensation after meals when I was alternating VLC and High-Carb Low-Fat days (ala Leangains). I don't think my body liked going back and forth. I've evened everything out a little bit and the sensation went away.

i have no idea what it could be, but try dropping the whipping cream and replace it with coconut oil with some flavouring mixed in? i would go for almond extract or cinnamon. if this fixes it, you were correct!

I use to have that but the problem was solved when I added sufficient starch to my meals. Protein and fat meals alone leave me feeling kind of wonky and empty.
