Currently I am suffering from a severely bloated stomach. About a month ago I was diagnosed with a cyst the size of an orange on an ovarian remnant. I am assuming it is growing which is causing my problem but wondered if my diet was exacerbating... (more)
many soft fruits like pears, apples, and peaches are high in fructose which can be bloating. maybe stick to citrus or berries. and if you must do cheese on your eggs, choose a lactose-free one like swiss.
I am on day 9 of paleo. I feel pretty great except for some major bloating. I actually look 3 months pregnant the bloating is so bad. With the exception of a little bit of milk in 1 cup if coffee I'm completely dairy and grain free. Meat, eggs,... (more)
Hi. I've had asthma since childhood and been prone to stomach upsets since my teens. Stopping dairy products a couple of years back slightly improved asthma - stomach remained unpredictable! In November 09 I found the Paleo world and stopped... (more)
I recently started adding fish oil supplementation to my paleo diet but I find that every time I take it my stomach starts to burn. Not necessarily an upset stomach just more like general pain. Is this normal when you first begin taking fish oil?... (more)
Costco sells fish oil in enteric coated capsules. This means they break down until they get to your small intestine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enteric_coating). They have a kind of gross vanilla flavor to them, though.
So I'm recovering from a nasty bought with stomach flu...and I have to say, it's been impossible for me to be paleo the past day or two...the thought of vegetables and meat makes me want to barf again. All I want is white food...mashed potatoes,... (more)
I unfortunately had to start taking antibiotics a few days ago for an infection in my toe. I held off as long as I could and tried to use some natural things to get rid of it but it just got worse. The antibiotics are sure doing a number on my... (more)
Hi guys, a little back story before my main question: I started taking on a loose paleo lifestyle ~ february as i have acid reflux issues. At that time, i had a lot of bloating and belching issues, which were eradicated after adopting a loose... (more)
I'm still pretty new to paleo, but I think I've figured out where my stomach pains come from. I have a long history of GERD, with enough heartburn to knock out an elephant. I've taken PPI's for the last few years, though I've attempted to wean off... (more)
So, I've been improving somewhat with the GERD but am now wondering if I might have a stomach ulcer. Pain above sternum/sternum, bloating and aching. No dark stools or anything, but I was curious as to if that matched up to symptoms. I'm not... (more)
I have been moderately "Paleo" for the last 30 days and I have noticed that in the last week my stomach has been protruding as if I am pregnant. My diet has been relatively consistent and I am sure I need to add more details for a specific... (more)
"moderately paleo" doesn't tell us too much, we don't know what you're eating. It's likely what you can remove from your diet to help with the bloating, not what you can add. But we need to know what you're eating first.
Looking for any clues, advice, suggestions here... Lately, like the last year or so, I find that stewed meats really upset my stomach and feel too rich or intense or something. I can only manage a few bites. It doesn't seem to matter what type... (more)
I eat stew every single day. I've tried a few times adding onions or garlic, and it always ended with stomach pain, so my advice is to get rid of the onions, garlic, and spices. I only add a bit of salt at the end and that works great.
Hi all! I've been Paleo for six months now and have tried IF and all that to try to lose my muffin top. That got a little too difficult so I recently just switched into Bulletproof "tea" fasting each morning which involves not eating until 2pm or... (more)

I have a question regarding something I've noticed since beginning Paleo. I'm on day 7 and have followed the diet with no cheating. Did anyone else notice improvement in core strength without exercise during paleo? Okay, let me re-phrase as that... (more)
I haven't experienced a feeling of tightening muscles so hopefully someone can help you out with that! What I did notice right away was that I didn't "feel fat". I would look down and wonder how I had my belly when it didn't feel like it should be... (more)
When I try to IF, I end up eating all the calories I would eat within one day anyway in the allotted amount of hours; so much that it feels like my stomach is stretching because I feel like I stuff myself so much. I can't seem to help it though!... (more)
I've been eating Paleo for about three or so months and I'm overall pleased with the results. But I've noticed a pattern and kind of confused by it...As of late every time I eat beef (usually for dinner) I wake up the next day to an upset stomach... (more)
I have been eating paleo for about 4 or 5 months with no problems. However I have recently developed stomach pains after eating, severe gas, and constipation. These symptoms started about 6 weeks ago exactly on the first day I started my sophomore... (more)
I'll start by saying I don't think my stomach flu/ diarrhea is caused by my Paleo diet. What I'm hoping to get is advice on what I should eat while I'm recovering. Background: I went to a wedding on Friday, and a number of (mostly Paleo) foods... (more)
If you get the stomach flu, what remedies do you use? Vitamin C? Apple Cider Vineger? Water? Rest? What works the best? Are there any quick reliefs you can get from any foods or supplements?
