When a person decides to become optimal and eats a paleo/primal diet there are many changes that occur to one’s RNA/DNA and to our epigenetic switches. Many of these bio-machinations will take months to give the full hormonal response, but there... (more)

I started eating paleo in January (about 4months ago) and felt amazing. The 15% would be the occasional side of white rice or a little goat cheese). I decided to try a 30-day strict paleo challenge to ween my way off sugar a bit and I'm finding my... (more)

You could try with nuts, high in fats, and dried fruits like dates, raisins and prunes (although the best nuts are also the most expensive ones...). They are the most nutrition dense and adhere to paleo. Beware that they could bring up your hunger... (more)

I ask this question because my friend who is paleo thinks I'm too restrictive since I choose not to eat grains, dairy, veggie oils, legumes, soy, and corn. He eats peanut butter, butter/cream, white rice, and adheres from grains only like 80% of... (more)

I don't "cheat" I "treat!" and sometimes I full on binge. I suffer the consequences, I think I'll be fine with a bag of chips and the next thing you know I am going 100% Pizza Lolo, so finding out what my triggers are (and who's holding that gun)... (more)

What is your opinion on what a hardcore paleo follower should eat? I'm particularly interested about the topics of canned and frozen foods, coffee, chocolate, honey and maple syrup, and dairy(especally butter).

The biggest thing for me is getting rid of canned food. It is full of synthetic estrogen that has some devastating effects on your body. Frozen veggies are good to have on hand for easy meals, we even buy gigantic bags of broccoli at costco, the... (more)

I've been strictly Paleo for a number of weeks now, and just today decided to 'cheat' a little by having half a tsp. of Manuka honey. Immediately, I felt sick to my core. At the time I ate it, I hadn't had food for a good four hours or so, so I'm... (more)

You spiked your blood sugar (and therefore insulin) & are experiencing a blood sugar drop. No worries. It's normal if you've been low carb for awhile. Eat some protein and/or fat & you will feel better.

I have been primal/paleo for over a year now, and I've lost a significant amount of weight on it. I've been lacking in energy lately, but on the past few days where it's been warm and the sun is shining, I've felt much better. Anyway, my question... (more)

5 hours is plenty of time to eat. I usually only use 3 hours. Look at http://www.fast-five.org/ . IF is great for reducing belly size!

Been strict paleo now for 3 months and have great days and not so great days. Plan on doing an all meat trial for 2-3 weeks to see how I feel. I plan on only eating organic meat so I will be eating plenty of animal fat. Anything that I need to... (more)
