Hi all,  I'm a first year at my university this year and have been mostly paleo for about a year.  My mile time increased, I felt stronger, more awake.  I slept better.  I love everything about paleo.  Unfortunately my... (more)

Don't let perfection be the enemy of good. And don't make yourself some social pariah because of an arbitrary diet.  Load up on veggies. Even sub-par veggies (with who knows what butter substitute) are fine. Eat meat, who cares if it's not... (more)

I agree that you should do it in between, but it's really just what's best for your body and when you're able to perform your best! Some days I like to study first, but some days I would rather workout first. It's really a body mechanism choice.... (more)

I'd rate this a 0. This isn't a Paleo diet. First drop ALL your grains - weetabix, granola, gluten-free roll, spaghetti - then maybe I'd give you a 1. But we all had to start somewhere!

In exactly two weeks I'll be boarding a plane for Spain, the land of serrano ham (win!). I'm going on study abroad for about five months, staying in Seville. Of course I plan on keeping up with paleo for the duration of my stay and I'm pretty... (more)

I live in Spain, in the Sierra about 125km from Sevilla. I would respond to any direct questions you may have. Just asking for insights leaves me tongue tied, or keyboard tied. Don't know what to say exactly. I could possibly give you some tips... (more)

I really want to try the Paleo diet, however, I am still living with my parents. My mom, my sister, and I are all trying to lose some weight, but disagree on how to go about it. I've tried Vegetarian before which worked for a while. However, they... (more)

I feel any paleo is better than no paleo. Suggest making a meal or two a week, but don't say "this is a paleo meal!" Just ask if you can pick up X ingredients to make a meal for everyone once or twice a week so you can practice cooking. Start... (more)

I'm a medical student and spend the majority of my day studying... I am an active runner and have a fast metabolism but I hate snacking all day so I try to eat fewer, larger meals. They leave me tired and sleep afterwards though (like big ass... (more)

Great question, and one I deal with a lot as I am in grad school. I study theatre, so when I'm not reading theory I'm on my feet in class. Plus exercise. So I am mentally and physically active. Here's what I know/have found out. The brain... (more)

I am interested in starting a group on campus that will revolve around the paleo lifestyle. What would you like to see in such a group? I have means of teaching the ideals of paleo lifestyle but also showing how to easy it can be to incorporate... (more)

Back in the day we threw balls at each other or played basketball for 180 days a year, killing time, when we weren't doing the Presidential Fitness Tests. How would you change gym class in our schools? Keep in mind that universal access is... (more)
