Potassium from veggies vs. Morton's Lite Salt: identical?

Of course minerals from foods are ideal, but as I'm trying ensure I have enough potassium, and my potassium to sodium ratio is about 2:1 , I'm left wondering:

Is all potassium created equal?

Is potassium from foods different, or perhaps better absorbed than potassium you shake out of a blue column from Morton's?
