If you go to sit down restaurants you can actually ask for special orders. You can tell them no gluten and they will tell you what is not on the menu. Turkey legs are great there and you can always take your own food inside the park with you. I... (more)

So i've seen this list on the internet of the top ten foods to store long term. It was all crappy food like wheat, rice and beans. Pretty much anti Paleo. After a long time of thinking I think I came up with a paleo version of the list. it's as... (more)

Are there any preppers/survivalists on this site? How does being Paleo affect your bug out bags and food storage? Do you plan to try to remain Paleo when SHTF?

I would say, use salt to preserve things and dehydrate a lot of different things as well. You can make Sauerkraut which lasts for months and this is raw and super healthy and easy to make.

Ok, assuming you're in middle America- most people hunt with guns. You will not look like that just walking/standing around with a gun, which is what hunting mostly is nowadays. There are bow hunting seasons for a number of animals,... (more)

Whether it be camping, surviving, hiking, mountain climbing, etc., what would be the best food to take with you? Jerky? Almonds? Bars?

Are there any shows you watch that embody (or at least close enough) Paleo ideals/lifestyle? I personally like a lot of the survivalist shows found on the Discovery or Travel channels, like Dual Survival, Man vs. Wild, Les Stroud's Survivorman,... (more)
